BALLOONS

BAR AREA

CATALINA’S bar area is situated on our beautiful balcony. The bar serves as a popular spot for casual meetings and socialising and is one of the most picturesque and iconic waterside locations in Sydney. Drinks and bar snacks are available all day, and bar patrons are also welcome to dine from the fixed price a la carte menu (12.00pm - 2.30pm; 6.00pm - 8.30pm). Please note, the bar is for walk-ins only - we do not take reservations for the bar area.

BUS

A number of buses (323, 324, 325, 326, 327, L24) stop along New South Head Road, just a short walk from CATALINA Restaurant.

CAVIAR

Indulge in the perfect combination of Champagne and caviar at Sydney’s most iconic harbourside restaurant. CATALINA has a luxury caviar selection available, served with perfect blinis and traditional accompaniments.

CHILDREN

Ever since our very beginning, CATALINA has been honoured to host generations of family celebrations. As a result, CATALINA has become an iconic fine-dining family venue in Sydney. While always welcome, children dining at CATALINA are the responsibility of their parent or guardian and are to remain seated at their table at all times. A children’s menu is available for children under 12.

In fairness to other diners, we ask that children remain seated, quiet and under parental control at all times. We reserve the right to request that babies and toddlers be taken outside to be soothed. Unfortunately we are unable to accommodate prams and highchairs in the dining room when the restaurant is fully booked, particularly on Friday lunches and weekends. There is simply no space in the dining room. We encourage our patrons to utilise our in-house highchairs (please request at time of booking - as we only have a limited number) and where possible, use a capsule to transport loved ones to the restaurant. 

COPIES OF RECEIPTS

If you have misplaced a receipt and would like to request a reprint, please email us at reservations@catalinarosebay.com.au including the date of your visit, the method of payment used and the total spend that was made. Please allow up to 48 hours for the receipt to be returned.

CATALINA can only retrieve receipts within four months from the date of enquiry.

CREDIT CARDS

CATALINA accepts the following major credit cards: Mastercard, Visa, American Express, JCB, China Union Card. Please note, credit card transactions attract a 1.5% surcharge.

DIETARY REQUIREMENTS

If you or any of your guests have any dietary requirements, please mention these when making your reservation.

DISABLED ACCESS

CATALINA staff can assist guests who require assistance up the stairs at the entry of the restaurant.

DRESS CODE

The dress code at CATALINA is smart casual. The dress code is intended to help foster a memorable experience for all guests.

FERRY

The Rose Bay wharf is to the immediate left of CATALINA. Ferries (Route F9) travel regularly to and from Circular Quay.

FLOWERS

Ask us to organise a floral centrepiece or a bouquet for your table.

You are welcome to organise a floral centrepiece for your table.
If you intend on doing so, we ask that you mention this at the time of your booking so we can confirm your table configuration (size). Given the space limitations once our tables are set, we do recommend that flowers are kept to a small size. We suggest that flowers are delivered to the restaurant before 12pm (for lunch bookings) or by 5pm (for dinner bookings), please ensure your booking name is attached to the delivery.

GIFT VOUCHERS/CARDS

In addition to our CATALINA Gift Vouchers (which can be purchased conveniently on our Gift Voucher page), CATALINA also accepts Best Restaurant Gift Cards and Gift Certificates, Good Food gift cards, Gourmet Traveller gift cards, Red Balloon vouchers and Restaurant Choice gift cards.
We request that you mention you are using these at time of making your reservation. 

GROUP BOOKINGS

With an uninterrupted 180 degree Sydney Harbour view, the versatile layout of the restaurant is perfect for bookings of any size.

  • We can accommodate up to 14 guests on one table, and up to 30 people in one group (on 3 tables). Groups of 11 or more are all required to have our 3 course, fixed price à la carte menu @ $150 per person.

  • We are happy to organise personalised menus, place cards, flowers, canapes, cocktails, champagne, wines, cakes, etc. to make your event even more special.

  • All bookings of 6 or more will have a 10% service fee added to the final bill.

  • Please be reminded that CATALINA does not have a private dining room.

NO BYO

CATALINA is Fully Licensed (no BYO).
Please also note, we don’t allow any externally made cakes to be brought into the restaurant.

PARKING

Lyne Park in Rose Bay is a very popular harbourside location for exercise, commuters, boating enthusiasts, etc. Parking in the Woollahra Council Car Park near CATALINA can be very challenging during the daytime. We encourage you to arrive by taxi, Uber or public transport if you possibly can, to avoid frustration. If you do drive, please take special notice of the different parking restriction signs in the Car Park. Please note: we no longer offer Valet parking.

PRIVATE DINING ROOM

CATALINA does not have a private dining room. 

RESERVATIONS

We can accept reservations up to 3 months in advance. You can make an instant reservation online from our homepage. Reservations can also be made by calling us at the restaurant on 02 9371 0555. Our reservations office is open every day (9am – 5pm).

SEATING REQUESTS

Whilst we try to accommodate all window and balcony requests, CATALINA cannot guarantee any table position in the restaurant. 

SMOKING AREA

CATALINA has a designated smoking area at the front of the restaurant (adjacent to Lyne Park). Please note, food and drink cannot be consumed in this area. CATALINA is a non-smoking venue.
