  • A beautiful open plan restaurant - an equally beautiful function venue.
  • Floor to ceiling glass sliding doors spanning the entire length of the dining room, opening out onto a spectacular balcony
  • Panoramic views of Sydney Harbour, Rose Bay, Shark Island and the peninsula of Point Piper.
  • Arrive by private vessel or Water Taxis and disembark at the Ferry Wharf nearby
  • Enjoy pre lunch or dinner drinks, an oyster bar, a sushi bar on the balcony overlooking the harbour.
  • Spectacular sunsets: in summer the sun sets at 8.00 – 9.00 p.m. and in winter a lunch function is a great option, as you encounter a late afternoon sunset just prior to departure time.
  • Resident pelicans often pay a visit and perch on the balcony during drinks.
  • Open fire place in winter and extra heating outside on the balcony.
  • The room is complete with candlelight throughout and harbour spotlights beaming out onto the harbour from our balcony, lighting up the seaplanes in front and Rose Bay.

Minimum spends for exclusive use:

There are minimum spends required at certain times of year, and on certain days of the week to book exclusive use for a function at Catalina – these vary depending on the time of year, the day of the week, and whether for lunch or dinner, and sometimes only minimum numbers are required.  The minimum spend can include your food, beverages, dance floor hire, crew meals (e.g. band/DJ/photographer

etc), but does not include entertainment, theming, cake, flowers, photographers, etc. (We have many contacts for these and can supply recommendations). There is no room hire fee.

We add a 10% Service Fee onto your total bill, in addition to the minimum spend. This fee goes directly to the service staff.

 

**The only time we charge room hire:
BREAKFAST: minimum 100 seated @ $70 per person (full breakfast or brunch canapés: fresh fruit, juice, pastries, cooked course, coffee/tea) + alcoholic beverages charged on consumption + $5,000.00 room hire + 10% Service Fee on the total bill.

SEATED DINNER:

$120 per person:
3 course menu comprising set entrée, choice of two main courses, set dessert, coffee & petits fours. No alternate menus.
Vegetarian option made available

$130 per person:
4 course menu comprising 2 canapés per person, set entrée, choice of two main courses, set dessert, coffee and petits fours.
Vegetarian option made available

$145 per person:
Travelling entrée (selection of 10 canapés served as entrée, cocktail party style), followed by choice of two main courses, set dessert, coffee and petits fours. Vegetarian option made available

Extras:
Additional canapés or courses available on request @ additional cost
(e.g. antipasto; cheese; cake; etc).

 

COCKTAIL PARTY:

2 hours or less: From $80 per person, Minimum 12 canapés per person
3 hours +: From $100 per person, Minimum 16 canapés per person

The canapé menu is a balanced selection of hot, cold, seafood, meat, vegetarian, (more substantial boxed food also available), and sweet canapés (optional), priced @ from $4 - $10 per piece. Canapé list available on request.

Wines and other beverages: Are all charged on consumption, chosen from our beverage lists and charged at full price. Sorry no BYO, or corkage.  Function beverage list available on request.

 

MENU TASTING:

Menus are selected at a tasting for 2-4 people, at which the client samples a shortlist of restaurant quality entrées, mains and desserts, with wines recommended by the Sommelier according to the client’s budget and individual taste.  (Tastings are not available for cocktail food). The client’s requirements are all discussed in detail and finalised at the tasting.
